Has anyone experienced pain in the arms and thighs for months? I've been tested for RA and negative?
I'm 53 years old F. My pace was high Thirst and started on prednisone 30 mgs that took my pain away. Dr. RA is declining and now I'm having 5mgs and with all the evidence of all that has been negative so far, but my pain has returned.
Steroids (prednisone) can make you more prone to rupture or partial tear of the muscles of the joints which are attached. The joints do not hurt, but it feels as painful lines between the elbow and shoulder or elbow and wrist, turning the limb. This will be shown in a medical MRI. Do not think that steroids caused my problem with the muscles that get tired too easily. Partial tearing of a muscle is with prednisone type medicine, but I do not know anything more, he said it would take at least 6-8 weeks for the pain goes away.
