Can anyone give me some advice about pregnancy?
I am only experienced as a hotel housekeeper. My work is very intense. I work five days a week, eight hours a day, including weekends. We make the beds, stooping, lifting, cleaning carts and 16 rooms per day. I am pregnant two months and I must be a rough pregnancy because I'm exhausted. I tried to work, but I called in sick the past two days, could not even get out of bed 6 am, as usual. I used to have so much energy now I'm sick and I have no energy at all. I feel sick and ashamed. I want to quit my job but I do not know if I can find another. Since I do not have much education I rely on physical labor. And I do not have the resources to return to school, so not an option. I do not know if I let my husband do not have much money to "take care" of me, find another job as best you can or hold it?
I went through the same … about 5 months preggers before I left my comfortable office job for a more physical, but when I got pregnant I was exhausted all the time (I think God wanted me to Take It Easy). Fortunately, in the state you live in (RI) that have TDI (Temporary Disability insurance) paid in case something like this sale. I left at 5 months and now I am a stay at home mom. Unfortunately, gain much weight during pregnancy, but otherwise it was worth (he lost most of it like me, like you, an active person). If you can not leave work for financial reasons, perhaps a donut shop or something that works for the time being (not is the best job I know, but are readily available and some pay is better than no pay).
