If you are a motorized wheelchair and you live in an area with a large number of users of motorized wheelchair, this is a good idea to consider: A rally motorized wheelchair.
A rally is a competition – usually with a vehicle of some sort – which do several things and try to be the first to cross the line goal. Unlike a career, not simply a matter of leaving the starting line with everyone else and trying to reach the goal before anyone else. A rally usually involves other things … perhaps a scavenger hunt or solving puzzles along the road.
Here is how to implement a motorized wheelchair rally together:
1. Find some helpers and pick a day to celebrate their rally. Determine if there will be an issue. Themes can be selected as appropriate or in seasonally honor of someone.
2. Contact your local municipal government representative and tell them you will have a meeting. Be clear it is for wheelchair users motorized and is an afternoon of fun (and not a political event … which can be initially think it is for).
3. See if you can find some corporate sponsorship for the event. Even if you just find a sponsor to offer drinks and hot dogs, which is an important part of the costs of their event out of his way.
4. Start planning your power chair rally! Determine the starting point and ending point (and the rest stops on the way). Decide what you want people to do what van. Maybe they need to solve puzzles or riddles at various points … if that's the case, it is necessary for volunteers stationed at each puzzle to judge its completion. 7. Show on the day of its manifestation, signaling along the route, and prepare to have a good time!
If you want to avoid chaos in the door, maybe people from beginning to end and release them from the starting line every 30 seconds instead of start all at once.
A scooter rally is a great way to meet other scooter users and raise awareness about the use of motorized wheelchair. Besides that, it's just a fun way to spend a Saturday!
