Disable Climb

Disable Climb
Extreme sports climbing rope for the handicapped?

A friend of mine suffered some type of spinal injury 2 years ago. She is in the road to recovery and has regained some strength in the legs. Shes not able to walk yet, but shes getting there. I want to take your climbing because it is a promise I did to her just before his accident. And also because I think it will help him regain his strength back quickly in a "more fun" way compared with rehabilitation. I want to know if it is safe enough if I put it in a body harness and if there is no assurance technique may be rigged so that if no strong enough in some areas they can take to pull it? Thanks!

I know they are trying to help, and your friend is so lucky to have a friend like you. If you're determined to do this, and your friend is sure that they want, then I suggest taking some others with you if you need assistance. No know the extent of their disability, but I advise you use a full body harness for safety and security. Again, please think carefully before decide whether to do this. if you do decide to go ahead, I wish the best of luck and I hope that helps his recovery.
