What type of activity / exercise should I do to strengthen my back?
About a year ago, I had a tear in the cartilage in my album L5. I had to quit school and was in bed for about 2 months. I went to physio therapy for about 3 months and have been treated with ultrasound and electrodes. When pain began to decline started a weight program to strengthen the muscles again. I can not run, play squash, do something too harsh, not my lower back begins to hurt. I'd love to be able to do all these activities, but I have to shake back in order to do so. I'd really like to know if anyone has passed similar problems, or simply may recommend some type of exercise or activity that can give me the freedom to do all the activities that I miss so dearly? Furthermore, my muscle on the side of my torso still pulled, it can happen randomly when I'm lifting weights or even bending to one side … I think this could be contributing my lower back pain and vice versa. Thanks!
Need low-impact exercise. I strongly suggest you return to your doctor and ask to therapy more natural, when you go you should ask about an exercise program that you can continue at home. If the doctor does not put back into physical therapy, I suggest that go where you got this therapy before and ask for exercises at home. Normally, when you have this type of injury they send home worksheets for you to continue after completing his physical therapy! Hope this helps somehow!
