Anyone who lives in Provo or Salt Lake City, Utah?
Like it? Which has better weather? How is the economy, schools, housing? Did you move there from other places? I decided that if I'm going to go from Buffalo, NY, then that is probably where I'm going to look. Preferably a Detached 3 bd. house with a garage in a safe area. My husband had to find a job as an addictions / mental health counselor. My business today is portable and I would be looking for an opportunity in the future with Ancestry.com or LDS Family History Library Headquarters. That would be only if I feel better health wise, but probably to happen with climate change. I also have a hs senior who goes to college by Jan 2009 or September 2009 and seek a creative field. Probably will not happen unless my brothers and his mother do but did not need much convincing to get siblings and spouses to go. If I stay here I will be in a wheelchair in less than ten years and I'm losing a life thinking about college.
I grew up in Provo and spent 10 years of my adult life in Salt Lake. Provo, is not as nice as SLC. It is much more conservative and closed minded as people will not care. Salt Lake is pretty nice. The weather can be a nuisance in the winter because it is in a valley that is very vague and only the right of depressing, but summer, autumn and spring is beautiful. There are plenty of Nice, safe neighborhoods, but all in a good area is very expensive. If you are considering working for the church because all offices tend to be downtown, some decent areas to seek shelter would postcode of 84,103 – east side, 84,109, 84,108, 84,124 and 84,117. All these areas are very safe, upscale neighborhoods and fairly close to downtown and easy access by motorway. Schools are better neighborhoods and although housing is more expensive in those areas, with the slow market should now be able to get a good deal on a house.
