UCL Libraries have more than 1,500,000 books, with over 1,500 workstations. The Central Library is under the dome in Gower Street, while the new Library Medicine has some of the best medical resources in Europe. There is also a large library of science, and 12 special libraries. Many departments also have libraries. Students at UCL, as all students of the University of London, you can use the Senate of the University's main collection of the House. A team very few areas, but these tend to be in libraries. There are some 24 hours of access, but not in the main library facilities. Facilities Team are very up to date and many have flat screen monitors. Some of the new or renovated rooms also have Internet access and there are plans to expand further. UCL have many sports facilities, but sometimes has a price. They own Shenley is Watford's training ground. The Argentine national team also played here before playing England. The facilities have 10 pitches with artificial light for football, rugby, cricket, etc 6 grass tennis courts, and some hard courts. There are also new changing rooms, bar and conference rooms. The Bloomsbury gym was renovated in the summer of 2003 and renamed Bloomsbury Fitness. The membership fee is 120 pounds per year for students of the UCL, but the facilities are quite good and certainly cheaper than other health clubs in London. In general, disabled facilities are very good with ramps and lifts in most places. However, this may depend largely on the department. Some of the changes can be made if necessary. The University counseling to deal with 3 full time counselors and part-time psychiatrists. The Student Union has a Board of Rights and the Center, which can advise on issues such as housing, drugs, immigration and finance. There are also a number of welfare groups, such as the LGB Society. Parking is very expensive so it is best to take the transport public that, despite some complaints, it is quick and easy. The Union also negotiated good deals on London's transport for the student travel cards, etc. Recently the University has reduced its supply of retail by eliminating travel store and make the copy center for EU companies only. However, there is still a well-stocked general store called Bear Necessities and hairdresser. There is a huge branch of Waterstones nearby, across the street from Ulu. Also there is a second-hand bookshop on the 3rd floor every Friday. This is particularly good for English, classics and history students. There is a NatWest bank on the main site University and an HSBC ATM. In the Student Union is a Lloyd's ATM. There are branches of major banks in the United Kingdom, within walking distance.
