How to train a puppy to climb stairs when they are scared?
We just got a new puppy and i cannot for the life of me get up down the stairs. will go up each flight of stairs, in addition to going to the house. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I had this problem, but was with my kitty. I used to leave it in the bottom of the stairs and up three steps and then dispose. Then I back up three and once went up to them, would give him treatment there. So who was at the top. After a couple of runs to do this, I begin to notice the above without my having to lure him there and after he walked up and down the stairs at will! You can also try leaving the puppy in the middle of the ladder, perhaps with a candy on top. Thus, only had to climb stairs to reach it. Or out of treatment at every step and have to climb more goodies. Here working with the kittens, so I'm assuming that there was work with your puppy too!
